Emile Leger
1921 - 2006

Emile Leger, 84, of Joyce Avenue, Moncton, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2006 at the St John General Hospital after a sudden illness. Born on May 5, 1921 in Ste Marie de Kent, NB, he was the son of late Philippe Leger and Elise Melanson. He was a retired chef from Beauséjour Curling Club for several years and was former owner of Bellevue TV rentals. He attended Notre Dame de la Paix Roman Catholic Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Gerene Drisdelle Leger; daughter, Paulette Fougere (Jean Pierre) of Dieppe; sons, Gerard (Phyllis) Bernard, both from Moncton, Emery (Celine) Gatineau, Que.; sister, Jeaninne Richard (late Rheal) Moncton; four brothers, Leo Leger (Eva), ON, Paul (Rita), Mass. USA, Leonide (Rita), Yvon (late Stella) both from Moncton; four grandchildren, (Christien Denise) (Janelle Christopher) Brigitte and Natalie. He was predeceased by four sisters, Marie, Anita, Emma, Odila; four brothers, Neri, Zoel, Antoine and Augustin. There will be no visitation by request. Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, April 13, 2006 at 11am at Notre Dame de la Paix Roman Catholic Church, Murphy Avenue, Moncton, with Rev. Paul Breau officiating. Interment in Ste Marie de Kent Roman Catholic Cemetery at a later date. In Emile's memory donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Diabetes Foundation or donors choice would be appreciated by the family.
