F.H. Leger -
Francis H. Leger, 92, of 99 Oliver St., Dieppe, died Friday at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton. Born in Memramcook, he was a son of the late Hypolite and Marie (Gaudet) Leger, and had been an electrician with Canadian National Railway, retiring with 39 years service, and attended Ste. Therese Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe. his wife, the former Dessie Cormier, died in 1974. he is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Lionel Bourgeois (Anita), Mrs. Donald Poirier (Doris) and Patricia Murray, all of Dieppe, Mrs. Raoul Gaudet (Adrienne) and Mrs. Alice Leger, both of Scarborough, Ont.; four sons, Arthur, Leo, Raymond and Rev. Omer, all of Moncton; 20 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. A son, Alfred, and a sister, Vezina, died previously. The body will be at Chartersville Funeral Home, Dieppe, this evening. Funeral mass will be celebrated Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Ste Therese Roman Catholic Church. Burial will be in St Thomas Roman Catholic Cemetery, St Joseph, in the spring.
