The Late Mr. Z. M. Leger -
The remains of Mr. Z. M. Leger, whose sudden death in Montreal was announced in yesterdays Times, arrived in the city on the Ocean Limited yesterday afternoon, and the funeral will take place from his late residence on King street on Friday morning at 9 o'clock to L'Assomption Church. The late Mr. Leger, who was 57 years of age, was born in Memramcook on January 8, 1863, the son of the late Marcel Leger and his wife, the late Rosalie Leger. He came to Moncton as a young man and, following the vocation of his father, became a jeweler. he had been engaged in that business about 45 years, being the oldest jeweler in the city. He conducted a jewelry store on Main street many years and later continued his business at 62 king street. Surviving are his wife, formerly Miss Alvina Leger, of this city; three daughters, Edith, Alice and Germaine, a son, Maurice, who is the youngest of the family, all at home; three sisters, Mrs. l. Bourque, of Memramcook, Mrs. N. LeBlanc of Summerside, P.E.I., and Mrs. M. Belliveau, of this city; and two brothers. C. M. Leger, of Memramcook, and Edward Leger, of Montreal. The late A. M. Leger, of Shediac, who died recently, was a brother.
