Mrs. Clara Legere -
The death of Mrs. Clara Legere wife of James Sr. of this town, occurred at her home here on Tuesday afternoon, following a lengthy illness. Sixty-five years of age Mrs. Legere was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Archie MacAloney of Parrsboro who at one time resided where the local golf club is now located. A life long resident of this town, she was an energetic, conscientous woman and was highly respected by all who knew her. She was an active worker in St. Brigid's Church. Besides her husband she is survived by five sons, Onslow, James, Phillip of the R.C.N., Fred, and Pte. Dexter at present stationed in Kingston, Ont., all of this town. Also by three brothers; Charles, Gordon and William MacAloney, all of Parrsboro. The funeral mass was held in St. Brigid's Church on Friday morning, celebrated by the parish priest Reverend Thomas MacDonald. Interment was made in St. Brigid's cemetery. The pallbearers were Basil Duffy, J. H. Mahoney, Harold Harris, Dan O'Regan. The family gratefully acknowledge the following Mass Card, Flowers and other expressions of sympathy.
