Ida Fougère 1913 - 2008 -
Ida Fougère, 94, wife of the late Alfred Fougère of the Villa Providence and formerly of Chesley St., Shediac passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2008 at the Villa Providence. Born October 20, 1913 in Shediac, she was the daughter of the late Antoine Vautour and the late Anna LeBlanc. She is survived by four daughters, Delphine Green (Alfred) of Belleville, Ontario, Marie Catherine Côté (Joe) of Grand Falls, N.B., Eda Arsenault (Frank Durnford) of Moncton, Linda Léger (Paul) of Shediac; two sons, Roger (Élizabeth) and Jean (Rose) both of Moncton; one sister, Sara McGreagor (Bob) of London, ON; seventeen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and by many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband Alfred (1974), she is also predeceased by two sons, Antoine and Camille; one daughter, Rose Anna Savoie (1983); one granddaughter, Jacqueline Sykes; one great grandson, Daniel Richard; three brothers, Anselme, André and Philias Vautour; and by two sisters, Marie Martin and Catherine McFarlane. Visitation at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac (532-3297) on Sunday, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday, from 1 p.m. until time of departure 1:50 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 21, 2008 at Saint-Joseph R.C.
