E. H. Leger St Anthony (Special) -
The death of Edmond H. Leger of St. Anthony and formerly of Albert Street, Moncton, occurred Thursday at the Villa du Repos, Moncton. He was 85. Born at St. Anthony, he was a son of the late Edouard and Emelie (Belliveau) Leger. He had been employed with Canadian National until retirement years ago and attended the St. Anthony Roman Catholic Church. His wife, the former Eleonor Cormier, died in 1975. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Laurie Surette (Eva) of Irishtown Road; an adopted daughter, Mrs. Freddie Difillipo (Julia) of Lynn, Mass.; a son, Telexphore Leger of Leblancville; two brothers, Desire and Gilbert Leger, both of St. Anthony; six grandchildren, four great grandchildren. The body is resting at Frenette's funeral home, Moncton, until this evening when it will be take to rest at the St. Anthony Community Hall on Saturday. Mass will be celebrated at the St. Anthony Roman Catholic church at a time and day to be announced. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery vault in the spring.
