LEGERE, Harold William -
Peacefully at Providence Manor, Kingston, Ontario on Friday, April 6, 2007, at the age of 81. Beloved husband of Clare (Carty). Loving father of Tom (Beth) of Peterborough and Bill of Kingston. Proud grandfather of Ben. Survived by his brother Herbert (Alice), sister Marion Deveau, and sister-in-law Frances. Much loved brother-in-law of Monsignor P. Carty, Mary Carty, Joseph Carty, Rita Caccamo (Jack), Frances McMahon (Edward), Michael Carty (Ginny), Bill Carty (Beverly). Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Son of the late Henry and Katherine (Blanche). Predeceased by brothers George and Hance; sisters Annie, Helen, Dorothy, Blanche and Bernice. Born in Nova Scotia, Harold graduated from St. FX University, and the Technical University of Nova Scotia as a Civil Engineer. His career included 20 years with DuPont in Kingston and 20 years with the Toronto Board of Education. Harold will be remembered for his kindness and generosity towards others. Family and friends will be received at the Central Chapel of the Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Homes, 49 Colborne Street (at Clergy), Kingston, Ontario, 613-546-5454 , on Monday, April 9th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday at Holy Name of Jesus Church, 950 Kingston Mills Road at 10 a.m. Rite of Committal with prayers in St. Columbanus Cemetery, Elgin. As expressions of sympathy, donations made to the Transitional Care Program (Connell 4) at Kingston General Hospital or Providence Manor would be appreciated
