    St. Joseph's, N.B., March 20 -
    The funeral service for Mrs. Simon A. Legere, whose death occurred suddenly of heart trouble on Wednesday night, at her home in Memramcook West, took place on Saturday morning to St. Thomas Church for requiem high mass, celebrated by the rector, Rev. Father Dismas J. LeBlanc, S.T.D. Mrs. Legere is survived by her husband, three sons, Andrew, Arthur and Leo, at home, and eight daughters, Miss Ida, at Home; Mrs, Gregoire Cormier, of Waltham, Mass.; Mrs. Eddie Cormier, of Springfield, Mass.; Mrs. Lionel Massey, of Springfield, Mass.; Mrs. Ernest Cote and Mrs. Louis Phanoeuf, of Williamsett, Mass.; Mrs. Frank Oulette, of Humphrey's; Mrs. Lucien Gagnee, of St. Cecil, Que.; one sister, Mrs. Maxiam Melanson, of Scoudouc, and 31 grandchildren. Deceased, who was born on Sep 29, 1863, had been in poor health all winter. Among those coming from outside points to attend the obsequies were: Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Cote and Mrs. Lionel Massey, daughters of deceased, of Massachusetts, who motored as far as Sussex, from whence they proceeded here by train.
