    M. Léonide Léger

    Est décédé le lundi 14 décembre à sa demeure, M. Léonide Léger, du 5 de la rue Edouard, de Saint-Antoine. Il était âgé de 72 ans.

    Originaire de Sainte-Marie, il était le fils de feu Honoré et Marie-Jeanne Arsenault-Léger.

    Il avait célébré son 50e anniversaire de mariage en août dernier. Il était membre du Club d’Âge d’Or de Saint-Antoine, ancien pompier, membre honoraire de la brigade pompier, membre de l’Association des pompiers et ancien conseiller du village.

    Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse : Mme Rita LeBlanc-Léger; quatre filles : Mme Gérard Maillet (Roseline), Mme Robert LeBlanc (Jeannine) et Mme Léonide Richard (Irma), toutes trois de Saint-Antoine; Mme Ernest Cormier (Francine), de Fredericton; un fils : Fernand, de Saint-Antoine; quatre soeurs : Mme Arthur Bourque (Honorine), Rosaireville; Mme Aimé Girouard (Emma), de Sainte-Marie; Mme Henri Babineau (Sophie), de Shediac cape; Mme Léo Haché (Stella), de Saint-Antoine; quatre frères : Alcide, de Edmundston; Alban, Laurie et Emile, tous trois de Saint-Antoine.

    Il laisse également huit-petits enfants.

    L’ont précédée dans la tombe deux frères : Aurèle, en 1987 (il y a six mois); Yvon, en 1950.

    La dépouille est exposée le mardi 15 décembre à la maison funéraire Maillet de Bouctouche et sera transférée le mercredi 16 décembre en la chapelle ardente de l’église Saint-Antoine. Les funérailles auront lieu le jeudi 17 décembre, à 10h, en l’église de Saint-Antoine; inhumation au cimetière paroissial en printemps.

    SAINT-ANTOINE, NB - Yvonne Léger, 78, wife of Laurie Léger, of Saint-Antoine, NB passed away at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton, NB on Friday, April 1, 2005 after a brief illness. Born in St.-Antoine, NB on January 4, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Camille William and Exelda Boudreau. She was a housewife and attended Saint-Antoine L'Ermite Roman Catholic Church, Saint-Antoine, NB. She is survived by husband, Laurie Léger; one adopted daughter, Laura Hébert of Ottawa; two sons, Raoul (Marie-Anne), Rhéal (Aurainna), both of Saint-Antoine; five grandchildren, Renée, Chantal, Parise, Julien, Caroline; one great grandchild, Kayla; several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by one brother, Albéo. Resting at Saint-Antoine l'Ermite Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Saint-Antoine de Kent, with visitation on Tuesday, April 5 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm, and Wednesday from 8:30 to 9:45 am. The Funeral Service will be held at St-Antoine L'Ermite Roman Catholic Church, Saint-Antoine de Kent on Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at 10:00 am. Interment in the Parish Cemetery.     SAINT-ANTOINE - À l’Hôpital régional Dr-Georges-L.-Durnont de Moncton, le vendredi 1er avril 2005, à l’âge de 78 ans, est décédée Yvonne Léger, épouse de Laurie Léger, domiciliée à Saint-Antoine. Née le 4 janvier 1927 à Saint-Antoine, elle était fille de feu Camille William et de feu Exelda Boudreau. Outre son époux, elle laisse dans le deuil une fille adoptive, Laura Hébert d’Ottawa; deux fils: Raoul (Marie-Anne) et Rhéal (Aurainna), tous deux de Saint-Antoine; cinq petits-enfants: Renée, Chantal, Parise, Julien et Caroline; une arrière-petite-fille, Kayla, ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces.     SAINT JOHN - Mrs. Emma Girouard, 76, of Simpson Drive, Saint John and formerly of SteMarie de Kent, passed away at Saint John Regional Hospital in Saint John on Saturday, March 30, 1996 after a lengthy illness.

    Born in Ste-Marie de Kent, she was the daughter of the late Honoré and Marie Jeanne (Arsenault) Léger. She was a Homemaker.

    She is survived by two daughters, Fernande (Mrs. Donald Nowlan) of Waltham, Mass., USA Jeannette (Mrs. Gerald LeBlanc) of Saint John; two sons, Oscar (Jeannine) of Lancaster, Mass., USA, and Ronald (Marguerite) of St-Antoine de Kent; two sisters, Honorine (Mrs. Arthur Bourque) of Rogersville; Stella Haché of St-Antoine de Kent; three brothers, Alban (Juliette), Emile. (Léota) and Laurie (Yvonnie), all of St-Antoine de Kent; ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Aimée Girouard; a sister; Sophie; four brothers, Aurele, Alice, Léonide and Yvon.

    Resting at Mont Carmel Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Ste-Marie de Kent, with visiting hours on Sunday from 8 to 10 p.m. and Monday from 2 to 4 and 5:30 to 7 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at Mont Carmel Roman Catholic Church, Ste-Marie de Kent, on Monday, April 1, 1996 at 7 p.m. Interment will be in the Parish Cemetery.

    MONCTON – À l’Hôpital régional de Saint-Jean, le dimanche 8 août 1993, à l’âge de 68 ans, est décédé au terme d’une courte maladie Léo Haché, époux de Stella Léger, domicilié au 226, rue Saint-Georges à Mocnton. Né à Rogersville, il était fils de feu Joseph Haché et de Catherine Bourque.

    Outre son épouse et sa mère, il laisse dans le deuil trois filles: Anette (Tony Macaudda) de Lexington, Mass., Élodie (Emile Maillet) de Framingham, Mass., et Adèle du Nouveau-Mexique; cinq soeurs: Marie (Albert LeBlanc), Précille (Gérard Cormier), Thérèse (Aldéric Cormier) et Lorraine (Raymond Thébeau), toutes de Rogersville, et Velma Haché de Waltham, Mass.; six frères: Alexandre, Antoine, Rosimond et George, tous de Rogersville, Lucien de Nelson, Miramichi, et Eddy de Notre-Dame de Kent, ainsi que quatre petits-enfants et plusieurs neveux et nièces.

    M. Haché fut machiniste et fut membre du Club de l’âge d’or de Saint-Antoine de Kent. La dépouille mortelle est présentement exposée à la salle mortuaire de l’église de Saint-Antoine de Kent. Les funérailles auront lieu en l’église Saint-Antoine-de-l’Ermite de Saint-Antoine de Kent, ce mercredi 11 août, à 11h et, de là au cimetière paroissial.

    Olivier Leger St. Mary, Kent, Co., March 5 -
    Olivier Leger, an aged and highly esteemed resident of St. Mary, passed away recently of heart trouble after three months illness. Mr. Leger was 85 years old. He is survived by seven sons, Alban, at home; Philias, Gardner, Mass.; Amedee, Waltham, Mass.; Honore and Andre, St. Mary; Joseph, Buctouche, and Irenee, Cocagne; three daughters, Mrs. Albert Melanson, (Marie), and Miss Armanda, both of Cocagne Bar and Mrs. Alyre Collette, (Germaine), Leominster, Mass.; three brothers, Edmond and Dominique Leger, St. Anthony, Kent County, and Philip O. Leger, Moncton, and a sister, Mrs. Placide Caissie, Notre Dame, Kent County. The funeral, largely attended was held at the Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, the pastor, Rev. Father Napoleon Landry, singing a high mass of requiem. The pallbearers were four sons, Joseph, Andre, Irenee and Alban and two grandsons, Edmond Melanson and Alphe Melanson.

    Edmond Melanson

    COCAGNE - Edmond Melanson, 82, of Villa Cote d'Or and formerly of Cocagne, passed away on Monday, May 8, 1995, at Ste. Anne Hospital, Ste. Anne de Kent.

    Born July 27, 1912 in Cocagne, he was the son of the late Albert and Marie (Leger) Melanson. He was a retired Farmer and Fisherman. He attended St. Pierre Roman Catholic Church in Cocagne and was a member of the Golden Age Club, Cocagne.

    He is survived by his wife, Florine (Fougère) Melanson; four sisters, Irene (Jean Baptiste) Cormier of St. Thomas, Murielle LeBlanc of Moncton, Bernadette LeBlanc of Bouctouche, Albertine (Antoine) LeBlanc of Cormierville; three brothers, Irenée (Helene) of Cocagne, Gerard of Moncton, Arsene (Patricia) of Cocagne; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by four brothers, Emile, Alphée, Oscar, Lionel and one sister, Lina.

    Resting at St. Pierre Roman Catholic Church, Slumber Room, Cocagne, with visiting hours on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m.. Funeral mass will be held at St. Pierre Roman Catholic Church in Cocagne on Thursday, May 11, 1995 at 4 p.m.

    Dorilla Cormier, 89, wife of the late Yvon Cormier, Villa du Repos, formerly of Germaine Street, Moncton, passed away Monday, August 13th, 2007 at the Villa following a lengthy illness. Born August 11th, 1918 in Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Élise (Allain) Leger. Prior to her retirement, she was employed with Deluxe French Fries for 18 years. She was a charismatic member and attended St-Louis-de-France Roman Catholic Church. She was the beloved mother of Gisèle MacLean (Roger LeBlanc) and Joanne Martin (Moïse) of Dieppe, and Maurice of Moncton; loving grandmother of Kevin and Alysia; dear sister of Lina Berthe of Moncton, Juliette Goguen of Cocagne, and Anna LeBlanc (Émile) of Mass. Besides her husband, Yvon (2004); she is predeceased by her brothers, Alban, Léo, Aurel; also a sister, Sister Thérèse Leger. Resting at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) from where the funeral service will be held Thursday, August 16th, 2007 at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.
