Sudden Death of Edward Pellerin, Well Known City Bakery Proprietor -
Many friends in Moncton, Leger Corner, St. Anselme and elsewhere in Eastern New Burnswick learned yesterday with deep regret of the sudden death of Mr. Edward Pellerin, well known in the bakery business in Moncton for many years. The deceased passed away at his home in Leger Corner late Sunday night following only two days illness. He was a native of Lakeburn and was 58 years of age. Some 35 years ago he was employed with Mr. Simon Melanson, sometime afterwards learning the baking trade and later entering into partnership with Measrs, Poirier and Bourque as the Maple Leaf Bakery. They built up a splendid business here and a few years ago disposed of same to the Eastern Bakeries, Ltd. Mr. Pellerin has been associated with Mr. Bourque in the operation of Evangeline Bakeries, Main street. A man of pleasing personality and amiable disposition he made for himself a wide circle of friends, both in a business way and socially, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Deceased leaves to mourn his wife, formerly Miss Melanson, of Scoudouc; five sons and one daughter, also his father, Sylvain Pellerin, 88 year old resident of Lakeburn; three brothers, James of Philadelphia; Phillip, of New York, and Joseph, of Moncton; two sisters, Mrs. Paul Leger, of Moncton, and Mrs. Gilbert LeBlanc, of Monk, Que. The body is resting at the family home in Leger Corner from where the funeral will be held Wednesday morning to St. Threasa's Church for high mass of requiem at 7:30, after which interment will be made in St. Anselme cemetery.

    Sylvain Pellerin -
A wide circle of friends in Moncton, Painsec, Memramcook and elsewhere throughout the county will learn with deep regret of the death of Mr. Sylvain Pellerin, for a long period of years a prosperous farmer in the Painsec district. He passed away last evening about 8.30 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Paul Leger, 40 Mountain Road, following an illness of some months. The deceased was a native of Memramcook and had reached the ripe old age of 88 years. Up until a year ago he had resided for the greater part of his life at Painsec, removing to Moncton to reside with his daughter when the infirmities of old age became manifest. He was highly respected by all who knew him and was the last surviving member of his family. He was a devout Roman Catholic and a faithful member of St. Anselme church, while he was also a member of the Catholic Mutual Benifit Association. The late Mr. Pellerin was a widower, being predeceased by his wife ten years ago. He leaves to mourn their loss two daughters, Mrs. Gilbert LeBlanc, of Monk, Que., and Mrs. Paul Leger, of this city, also three sons, Phillip, of New York City; James, of Philadelphia, and Joseph, of Moncton. The body is resting at the home of his daughter at 40 Mountain Road and the funeral will be held from there at a date to be announced later.

The Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption was the scene of a very pretty but quiet wedding yesterday morning at 9 o'clock, when at nuptial high mass, the rector, Rt. Rev. Mgr. H.D.Cormier, D.P., united in holy matrimony Miss Margaret Leger, adopted daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Leger, Mountain Road, and Mr. Ovila Babin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Phileas Babin, Scoudouc. N.B. The bride, who was unattended, looked very charming in a tailored light grey travelling suit with navy blue accessories and halo hat of pleated navy velvet and wide hemmed nose weil, and carried a white prayer book. She entered the church to the strains of the Briday Chorus from "Lohengrin" played by Mr. Philippe Arsenault, organist and choirmaster of the Cathedral, who also officiated at the musci of the mass. During the offertory, Miss Mary McCarron sang very sweetly Millard's "Ave, Maria" accompanied on the organ by Mr. George Skeffington. As a recessional, Mr. Skeffington rendered Mendelssohn's Wedding March, Witnesses to the marriage were Cloris Leger, brother of the bride, and Eustache Babin, brother of the groom. Following the ceremonies, the bridal party repaired to the home of the bride where a dainty luncheon was partaken by the immediate relatives and a few close friends. The dining room and table were decorated very tastefully with multi-colored gladioli and other fall flowers, and the table was centred with a beautiful triple tiered wedding cake. In the afternoon the happy couple left on The Gull for Boston, Cambridge, and other New England points. On their return they will reside in this city, here the groom is a valued and popular employee of the car shops of the Canadian National Railways. Out of town guests at the wedding included the parents of the groom and Mr. and Mrs. William Leger, Truro, N.S. Prior to her marriage, the bride was the honored guest at several surprise showers, and received many beautiful and useful gifts from her host of friends.
