Joseph J. Legere -
The death of Joseph J. Legere occurred on Saturday evening after a long illness at the age of sixty-six years. Mr. Legere is survived by his wife and two daughters, Mrs. C. A. Gould of Worcester, Mass., and Tillie at home, and by six sons, Frank in Halifax, Edmund in Worcester, Mass.; Arthur in Moncton and Valerie, Joseph and Henry at home. All the children were home during his late days excepting Mrs. Gould and Edmund. Both are expected home on the Ocean Limted this evening. The funeral will take place tomorrow morning at St. Charles R.C. Church with Requiem High Mass. Mr Legere had many friends and there will be much sympathy with the family in their great bereavement.

He was employed as custodian at the University of Moncton. He is survived by his wife the former Dora Goguen, three daughters, Mrs. Gerome Guillian (Louise) of Massachusetts, Mrs. Raymond Ceral (Huberte) of Grand Digue and Miss Elise Leger of Worcester, Mass.; four sons, Peter of Westville, Saint John, Gerard, Charles and Adrien Leger, all of Grand Digue; seven sisters, Mrs. Gerard Boudreau (Edmee) of Shediac, Mrs. Zenon Gallant (Rita) and Mrs. Eric Breau (Aline), both of Grand Digue, Mrs. Arthur LeBlanc (Jeannine) and Mrs. Ernie LeBlanc (Cecil), both of Saint John, Mrs. Elze LeBLanc (Alice) of Montreal and Mrs. Alcide Hebert (Germaine) of Saint John; two brothers, Edgar of Moncton and Henrie Leger of Cocagne. M. Georges Léger
M. Georges Léger, de Cocagne, est décédé le dimanche 21 juin à l’hôpital Dr Georges-Dumont, après une courte maladie, à l’âge de 66 ans.
Il était le fils de Albert et Christine (Léger) Léger. Il s’était retiré comme charpentier en 1973. Il était un ancien membre de la Légion canadienne à Moncton et était un ancien combattant de la Deuxième Guerre mondiale.
Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse, née Ella Després; deux filles et quatre fils : Mme Ernest Richard (Jeanne), de Moncton ; Mme Bernice Scagleone, de Fitchburg, Mass. ; Roger, de Cocagne ; Léo-Paul, de Toronto ; Robert, de Hudson, Mass. ; et André, de Marlboro, Mass. Il laisse également quatre sœurs et trois frères : Mme Dora Léger, de Grand-Digue ; Mme Georgine Anderson et Mme Eve LeBlanc, toutes deux de Fitchburg, Mass. ; Mme Edgar Léger (Anita), de Moncton ; Elphège, de l’Ontario ; Ovila, de North Attleboro, Mass. Et Philibert, de Hensall, Ontario.
La dépouille mortelle est exposée en l’église Saint-Pierre de Cocagne où les funérailles auront lieu mardi à 10h avec inhumation dans le cimetière paroissial.
