    J. Pacifique A. Leger, 82, of 198 Picto Road, died Sunday in Colchester Hospital. Born in Haute Aboujagane, N.B., he was a son of the late Frank and Josephine (Richard) Leger. He was employed with CN Railway in Truro for 40 Years until his retirement in 1970. He was also associated with the Truro Raceway. He is survived by his wife, the former Elzia Babin; a daughter , Janet (Mrs. William Lester), Dartmouth; six sons, Eddie and Laurie, Stouffeville, Ont.; Norman, Toronto; Alex (Euclide), Dartmouth; Reginald (Reggie) and Robert, Truro; three sisters, Marceline (Mrs. M. Sears), Sackville, N.B., Flora (Mrs. M. St. Pierre), Shediac, N.B.; Justine (Mrs. C. Landry), Haute Aboujagane; four brothers, Leo, Vital and Alphonse, all of Haute Aboujagane; Yvon, Cape Ball, N.B. He was predeceased by a brother, Romual; a son, Paul E. ; a daughter, Andrea; and a grandson. The body is in Mattatall's Funeral Home, Truro. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Immaculate Conception Church, Rev. John Driscoll officiating. Burial will be in Robie St. Cemetery, Truro. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the canadian Cancer Society.

    Rita Léger 1931-2007 HAUTE-ABOUJAGANE - Rita Léger, 76, wife of the late Romuald Léger of Haute-Aboujagane passed away at home on Friday, December 21, 2007 following a lengthy illness. Born in Saint-Leonard, October 16, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Ida (Tardif) Poirier. She is survived by five daughters, Jeanne Léger-Melanson (Yves), Suzanne Léger, et Christianne Léger all of Haute-Aboujagane, Madeleine Léger-Boucher (Michel) of Québec, Catherine Léger (Alexandre Enkerly) of Austin, Texas; three sons, Robert (Irène Gauthier) and Charles of Haute-Aboujagane, Jacques (Kerry) of Riverview; one sister, Henriette Ayotte of Saint-Léonard; four grandchildren, Rémi, Katherine, Véronique and Julie; and by several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Romuald (1978), she was also predeceased by a son, Roger; a brother, Albert; and by four sisters, Bernadette, Cécile, Germaine and Julia. Visitation at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac (532-3297) on Sunday, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday, from 10 a.m. until time of departure 10:40 a.m. Funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 24, 2007 at Sacré Coeur Roman Catholic Church, Haute-Aboujagane.     HAUTE-ABOUJAGANE - À sa résidence, le vendredi 21 décembre 2007, à l'âge de 76 ans, est décédée après une longue maladie Rita Léger, épouse de feu Romuald Léger, domiciliée à Haute-Aboujagane. Née le 16 octobre 1931 à Saint-Léonard, elle était fille de feu Françis et Ida (Tardif) Poirier. Elle laisse dans le deuil cinq filles: Jeanne Léger-Melanson (Yves), Suzanne Léger et Christianne Léger, toutes de Haute-Aboujagane, Madeleine Léger-Boucher (Michel) de Québec, Catherine Léger (Alexandre Enkerly) de Austin, Texas; trois fils: Robert (Irène Gauthier) et Charles de Haute-Aboujagane, Jacques (Kerry) de Riverview; une soeur, Henriette Ayotte de Saint-Léonard, quatre petits-enfants: Rémi, Katherine, Véronique, et Julie, ainsi que plusieurs nièces et neveux. Outre son époux, Romuald (1978), un fils Roger, un frère Albert, ainsi que quatre soeurs: Bernadette, Cécile, Germaine et Julia, l'ont précédée dans la tombe. La dépouille mortelle est présentement exposée à la Maison funéraire Frenette ltée, 396, rue Main à Shédiac (532-3297, www.salonfrenette.com).     Mrs. Irene Leger, 80, of Haute Aboujagane, died Wednesday at Villa Providence, Shediac. Born in Barachois, she was a daughter of the late Albenie and Zelia (Lirette) Leger. She attended Sacre Coeur Roman Catholic Church, Haute Aboujagane. She was also a member of the Haute Aboujagane Golden Age Club. She is survived by her husband, Vital of Haute Aboujagane; three daughters, Mrs. Edward Chevarie (Andrea) of Haute Aboujagane. Mrs. Ulysse Cormier (Annette) of Bas Cap-Pele, and Mrs. Arthur Melanson (Marie) of Moncton; five sons, Ubald, Gilles, Jean, and Oscar, all of Haute Aboujagane, and Clarice of Cap-Pele; a sister , Mrs. Tanis Doiron (Leonie) of Barachois ; 22 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. The body is at Frenette's Funeral Home, Shediac. Funeral mass will be celebrated Friday at 11 a.m. at Sacre Coeur Roman Catholic Church, Haute Aboujagane. Interment will be in Haute Aboujagane Roman Catholic Cemetery.

    SHEDIAC - Raymond J. LeBlanc, 50, of Riverside Dr., Shediac passed away at the Villa Providence Home, Shediac on Saturday,March 29, 1997 after a courageous battle with the Alzheimer related Pick's Disease.

    Born in Shediac, he was the son of Flora (Leger) LeBlanc StPierre of Shediac and the late Emile A. LeBlanc. He was a Public Works Foreman with the Town of Shediac where he was employed for 24 years. He was a member of M.P.W.W.A. (Maritime Provinces Water and Waste Water Association) and the A.W.W.A.     He will be sadly missed by his wife, Patsy (Doiron) LeBlanc; a daughter, Paulette Vance (Melvin) of Pettawawa, Ont.; two sons, Emile (Nicole Leger) and Louis (Darlene Biddington), both of Shediac; a sister, Claudette Doiron (Auguste) of Shediac; a brother, Richard LeBlanc of Shediac; four grandchildren, Andrée, Joel, Joshua, Jacob; and by several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

    Resting at Frenette Funeral Home, 248 Main St., Shediac with visitation on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated from St-Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Shediac on Tuesday, April 1, 1997 at 11 a.m. Reception to follow in the Church Hall. Interment to take place in St-Joseph Roman Catholic Cemetery, Shediac.

    At the request of the family, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Southeast N.B., P.O. Box 1266, Moncton, N.B., E1C 8P9 would be greatly appreciated.
