    O. E. LEGERE, 84, Springhill, died Saturday. Born in Barachois, N.B., he was son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hilaire Legere. He is survived by three daughters, Lillian (Mrs. Emil Godin) Old Town, Maine; Pearl (Mrs. Michael Collin) El Passo, Texas; and Catherine (Mrs. W.D. Wilson) Springhill; two sisters Mary (Mrs. Henry Leblanc), Centerville, Mass., and Mrs Abrel Leblane of Moncton, N.B. The body is at Brown's Funeral Home, Springhill. Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. with requiem mass from St. John the Baptiste Roman Catholic Church with Rev. James Casey officiating. Interment will be in North Street Cemetery.

    Romeo Leger of 49 Mansfield Street, Moncton, was dead on arrival at Moncton Hospital Saturday. He was 71. Born in Cap Pele, he was a son of the late Hypolite and Rosalie (Richard) Leger. He retired from Humphrey Wollen Mills in 1970 after 40 years. He Attended St. Louis de France Roman Catholic Church in Lewisville. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Leonard J. Arsenault (Viola) amd Mrs. Roland Leger (Alice), both of Lewisville; three sisters, Mrs. Johnny Belliveau (Rita) of St. Paul, Juliette and Lorette Leger, both of Amherst, N.S.; four brothers, Rev. Gregoire Leger, Maliseet, Alban of Burlington, Ont., Lionel and Antoine, both of Amherst; three grandchildren. His wife, the former Mayme LeBlanc, died in 1970. The body is resting at Frenette's funeral home, 88 Church Street, Moncton. The funeral will be Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Louis de France Roman Catholic Church, Lewisville. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery.

    Mrs. H. Legere Amherst (Special) -
    Mrs. Rosalie M. Legere, 12 Spring Street, Amherst, widow of Hypolite Legere, died at her home Friday following a lengthy illness. She was in her 93rd year, and was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Dominic Richard of Cormier Village, N.B. For the past 52 years she made her home in Amherst. She was a member of the St. Charles Roman Catholic church and of the Third Order of St. Francis. She was the last Surviving member of her family. Her husband died in 1938. Surviving are three daughters, Rita (Mrs. John Belliveau) of St. Paul, N.B., Juliet and Loretta, both at home; five sons, Rev. Gregorie Legere of Aroostook, N.B., Romeo of Lewisville, N.B., Alban of Hamilton, Ont., Leonel and Anthony, both of Amherst. 14 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. The body is resting at her home where parish rosary will be recited Sunday at 8:15 p.m. The funeral mass will be held from St. Charles Roman Catholic Church, Monday at 8:30 a.m. Burial will be in the family lot at St. Charles cemetery.

She was predeceased by a sister, Viola; five brothers, Gonzaque, Romeo, Alban, Gerald, and Lionel. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Charles Church, Amherst, under the direction of Campbell's Funeral Home, Father Louie Cassie officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

    SAINT-PAUL DE KENT - Au Foyer Saint-Antoine de Saint-Antoine de Kent, le jeudi 10 novembre 1994, à l’âge de 91 ans, est décédée au terme d’une longue maladie Rita Belliveau Léger, épouse de Johnney Belliveau, domiciliée au foyer, mais autrefois de Saint-Paul de Kent. Née à Cap-Pelé, elle était fille de feu Hypolite Léger et de feu Rosalie Richard.

    Outre son époux, elle laisse dans le deuil un fils, Normand de Saint-Paul de Kent.

    Deux soeurs: Juliette et Lorette, ainsi que six frères: Alban, Roméo, Antoine, père Grégoire, Lionel et Gérald, l’ont précédée dans la tombe.

    La dépouille mortelle sera exposée à compter de 19h, le samedi 12 novembre, à la Salle mortuaire de l’église de Saint-Paul de Kent. Les funérailles auront lieu en l’église Saint-Paul de Saint-Paul de Kent, le lundi 14 novembre, à 15h et, de là, au cimetière paroissial.

    Heures de visite: le samedi 12 novembre, de 19h à 21h, le dimanche 13 novembre, de 14h à 16h et de 19h à 21h, et le lundi 14 novembre, de 13h jusqu’au départ pour les funérailles.

    La direction des funérailles a été confiée à la Maison funéraire Maillet de Bouctouche.

    87, The Gables Lodge, Amherst, formerly of 12 Spring St., Amherst, died December 2, 1993, in the lodge. Born in Cap Pele, N.B., she was a daughter of the late Hypolyte and Rosalie (Richard) Legere. She had worked for the Maritime Pant Factory in Amherst. She is survived by a sister, Rita (Mrs. Johnny Belliveau), Saint Paul, N.B.; brother, Anthony, Amherst; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Viola, Laurette; six brothers, Gonzaque, Romeo, Alban, Gerald, Lionel, Rev. Gregory. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Campbell's Funeral Home, Amherst. A Mass of the Resurrection will be 9 a.m. Saturday in St. Charles Roman Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery.

    LEGERE, Anthony Leonard (Tony) -
    80, 10 Ralston Place, Amherst, died April 24, 1994, in Highland View Regional Hospital, Amherst. Born in Memramcook, N.B., he was a son of the late Hypolite and Rosalie (Richard) Legere. He graduated from Nova Scotia Teachers College in 1933 and taught school in Cape Breton, Halifax and Digby counties. In 1942, he was appointed to the teaching staff of Amherst Regional High School; in 1943, he enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force, returning to the Amherst teaching staff in 1945. He attended Mount Allison University from 1947-50 and was awarded a BA in modern foreign languages and in 1962 received a B.Ed. from Mount Allison University. He was awarded CD (military) for service with Cadet Services of Canada (20 years) and retired from Amherst Schools in 1972, subsequently teaching on Grand Manan Island, N.B. and Boiestown, N.B. He served for 20 years on the Atlantic Provinces Examining Board, retiring in 1972 as chief reader of the Modern Foreign Language Group. During his years at Mount Allison University he served on the teaching staff; was a regular at Aldershot Cadet Camp for many years; attended several summer semesters at Dalhousie University and Mount Allison University and also did substitution instruction work at both Dorchester and Springhill institutions. He is survived by his wife, the former Eva McManaman; daughter, Marilyn (Mrs. Bill Conlin), Belleville, Ont.; three sons, Leonard, Mississauga, Ont.; Paul, Calgary; David, Amherst; sister, Rita (Mrs. Jonnie Belliveau), Saint Paul, N.B.; five grandchildren. He was predeceased by six brothers, Rev. Gregory, Romeo, Alban, Gerald, Lionel, Alphonse; three sisters, Viola, Loretta, Juliette.     Romeo Leger of 49 Mansfield Street, Moncton, was dead on arrival at Moncton Hospital Saturday. He was 71. Born in Cap Pele, he was a son of the late Hypolite and Rosalie (Richard) Leger. He retired from Humphrey Wollen Mills in 1970 after 40 years. He Attended St. Louis de France Roman Catholic Church in Lewisville. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Leonard J. Arsenault (Viola) amd Mrs. Roland Leger (Alice), both of Lewisville; three sisters, Mrs. Johnny Belliveau (Rita) of St. Paul, Juliette and Lorette Leger, both of Amherst, N.S.; four brothers, Rev. Gregoire Leger, Maliseet, Alban of Burlington, Ont., Lionel and Antoine, both of Amherst; three grandchildren. His wife, the former Mayme LeBlanc, died in 1970. The body is resting at Frenette's funeral home, 88 Church Street, Moncton. The funeral will be Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Louis de France Roman Catholic Church, Lewisville. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery.

He was the son of Mrs. Rosie Legere and the late Hippolyte Legere.He was born in New Brunswick in 1910 but had spent the greater part of his life in Amherst. He moved to Oromocto, N.B.a year ago. He was a member of St. Charles Roman Catholic Church, Amherst.His wife Winnifred died in 1959.     Mrs. Rosalie M. Legere, 12 Spring Street, Amherst, widow of Hypolite Legere, died at her home Friday following a lengthy illness. She was in her 93rd year, and was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Dominic Richard of Cormier Village, N.B. For the past 52 years she made her home in Amherst. She was a member of the St. Charles Roman Catholic church and of the Third Order of St. Francis. She was the last Surviving member of her family. Her husband died in 1938. Surviving are three daughters, Rita (Mrs. John Belliveau) of St. Paul, N.B., Juliet and Loretta, both at home; five sons, Rev. Gregorie Legere of Aroostook, N.B., Romeo of Lewisville, N.B., Alban of Hamilton, Ont., Leonel and Anthony, both of Amherst. 14 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. The body is resting at her home where parish rosary will be recited Sunday at 8:15 p.m. The funeral mass will be held from St. Charles Roman Catholic Church, Monday at 8:30 a.m. Burial will be in the family lot at St. Charles cemetery.

    M. Raymond LeBlanc, du no 26 de la rue Entreprise à Moncton, autrefois de Lewisville, est décédé hier à l'hôpital de Moncton, après trois jours de maladie.

    Né à Lewisville, N.-B., le 21 janvier 1916, il était fils de feu Evariste et de (Christine Bourque) LeBlanc. Le premier originaire de St-Paul-de-Kent, N.-B. et l'autre de Scoudouc, N.-B.

    Employé depuis 18 ans au Centre de ravitaillement no 5 de Moncton, il avait cessé de travailler le 3 janvier dernier. Il était membre de la paroisse l'Assomption, et ancien combattant de la dernière grande guerre.

    Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse (née Bertha Dupuis), un fils, Bob, à la maison paternelle; six soeurs; Mme Edgard Richard (Alivina) de Lynn, Mass.; Mme Roméo Léger (Mayne) de Lewisville; Mlle Marie LeBlanc, de Moncton; Mme Emile Gould (Dora), de Moncton; Mme Gérard LeBlanc (Emilie), de Shediac Bridge; Mme Victor Thornton (Lena), de Moncton ainsi que quatre frères; Edmond, Georges, John et Edouard, tous de Moncton.

    La dépouille mortelle est exposée au salon funéraire Frenette au no 88 de la rue Church, à Moncton. Les funérailles auront lieu à 9h. samedi matin à la cathédrale l'Assomption et au cimetière N.-D. du Calvaire. L'inhumation aura lieu au printemps.

    À la demande de la famille les visites au salon funéraire auront lieu de sept à neuf heures jeudi soir, de deux à cinq heures et de sept à neuf heures vendredi après-midi et le soir.
