    René Léger, 64, of Boudreau Ouest, passed away on Friday, February 22, 2008 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton following a lengthy illness. Born December 22, 1943 in Cormier Village, he was the son of the late Didace and Josephine (Gaudet) Léger. He was a past employee with Archille LeBlanc Paving. He will be sadly missed by his two sons, Kevin (Carole Allain) of Bouctouche, Brian of Shediac; five sisters, Jeannine Boudreau (late Joseph), Delphine Léger (late Alphée) and Géraldine Allain (Edmond) all of Grand-Barachois, Claudine Henderson (late Myron) of Kamloops, B.C., Lucia Arsenault of Shediac; two brothers, Gérard (Vina) and Lévi (Lucille) both of Grand-Barachois; three grandchildren, Chanelle, Randy, and Mireille, his former wife Claudette (Gallant) Léger of Shediac, and by several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Danny (2000); six brothers, baby Alderic, Alcide, Ovila, Yvon, Émile and Robert. Visitation at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac (532-3297) on Sunday, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday, from 10 a.m. until time of departure at 10:35 a.m. Funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 25, 2008 at St-Henri Roman Catholic Church, Grand-Barachois.     Mr. Alcide Leger, 60, of Cormier Village passed away on Saturday, April, 10, 1999, at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton following a lenghty illness.

    Born in Cormier Village, he was the son of the late Didace and Josephine (Gaudet) Leger.

    He will be sadly missed by his wife Diana (Cormier) Leger; one son, Emerie of Cormier Village; five sisters, Claudine Henderson of BC, Delphine Leger of Robichaud, Jeanine Boudreau (Joseph), Geraldine Allain (Edmond) both of Barachois, Lucia Arsenault of Shediac; four brothers, Yvon of St. André, Emile, Levis both of Barachois, René of Shediac. Predeceased by three brothers, Robert, Ovila, Alderic.

    Resting at Frenette Funeral Home, 396 Main St. Shediac with visitation on Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm, on Monday 3 pm until departure for the funeral Mass. The funeral Mass will be celebrated 4 pm on Monday, April 12, 1999 from Sacré Coeur Roman Catholic Church, Haute Aboujagane. Interment in the Parish Cemetery.

    BARACHOIS (Special) - Joseph Boudreau , 61, of Barachois died Friday at Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital. Born in Barachois, he was the son of the late Philippe and Melesse (Leblanc) Boudreau. A fisherman and carpenter, he attended the St. Henri Roman Catholic Church and was a member of the Barachois Golden Age Club. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Jeannine (Leger) Boudreau of Barachois; two daughters, Mrs Allen Boudreau (Emerise) of Shediac and Angele of Barachois; four sons, Michel and Norbert, both of Barachois, and Donald and Leo-Paul, both of Robichaud; three sisters, Mrs. Gerard Goguen (Marianne) of St. Andre, Mrs. Fred Turner (Anita) of Riviere-du-Loup, Que., and Mrs. Arthur Leblanc (Huberte) of Shediac; one brother, Leonce of Barachois; seven grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. A brother, Ola, died in 1990. The body is Frenette's Funeral Home in Shediac. The funeral mass will be held Monday at 11. a.m. at St. Henri Roman Catholic Church, Barachois. Interment will be in the Barachois Parish Cemetery.

    Emma Vautour

    - À la Villa Providence, le lundi 14 avril 2008, à l’âge de 94 ans, est décédée Emma Vautour, épouse de feu Alcide Vautour, domiciliée à la Villa Providence de Shédiac, mais autrefois de Cap-Pelé. Née le 18 janvier 1914 à Saint-Ignace, elle était fille de feu Joseph et Marie (Léger) Johnson.

    Elle laisse dans le deuil trois fils: Camille (Sylvine) et Aris (Jacinthe) de Dieppe et Léo-Paul (Denise) de Cap-Pelé; deux frères: Éric Johnson (Marie-Anne) de Saint-Ignace et Irené Johnson (Ella) de Saint-Louis; six petits-enfants: Mario, André, Stéphane, Julie, Janelle et Michelle, ainsi que cinq arrière-petits-enfants: Rachel, Annie, Felix, Yanick et Xavier.

    Outre son époux, Alcide (1984); deux soeurs: Imelda et Eva, ainsi que six frères: Narcisse, Arthur, Émile, Alban, Armand et père Camille Johnson, l’ont précédé dans la tombe.

    Mme Vautour a été enseignante dans la région de Bas Cap-Pelé et Dupuis Corner.

    La dépouille mortelle sera exposée à compter de 14h, le mardi 15 avril, au funérarium Frenette, 2642, chemin Acadie à Cap-Pelé (577-3297, www.salonfrenette.com). Les funérailles auront lieu en l’église Sainte-Thérèse-d’Avila à Cap-Pelé, le mercredi 16 avril, à 9h15. L’inhumation se fera au cimetière paroissial.

    Heures de visites: le mardi 15 avril, de 14h à 16h et de 19h à 21h et le mercredi 16 avril, de 8h30 jusqu’au départ à 9h05.

    À la demande de la famille, un don à la Fondation de l’Hôpital Dr-Georges-L.-Dumont serait grandement apprécié.

    La direction des funérailles a été confiée aux soins professionnels de la Maison funéraire Frenette Shédiac ltée.
