    Mrs. M. Leger -
    The death of Mrs. Melina Leger, widow of Theophile Leger, of 16 Comeau Street, Shediac, occurred Thursday at Dr. Georges Dumont Hospital following a brief illness. She was 86. Born at Upper Aboujagane, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Francoise (Landry) Boudreau. She attended the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Shediac, and was a member of the St. Ann Society. Her Husband died in 1959, She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Adelard Fougere (Elizabeth) and Mrs. Philippe Fougere (Rosalie), both of Shediac, and Mrs. Leo Duguay (Gertrude), of Cap Pele; two sons, Leandre of Toronto and Henrie Leger of Upper Aboujagane; several grandchildren, several great grandchildren. The body is resting at Frenette's funeral home, Shediac. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Aboujagane Roman Catholic Church with entombment in the parish cemetery vault to await burial in the spring.

    Death of G. Leger, 46 - Upper Aboujagane (Special) -
    The death of Gerard Leger occurred in Lancaster this week following several weeks of illness. In addition to his wife, the former Natalie LeBlanc, he is survived by his mother, Melina, Upper Aboujagane; six sons, Louie, Paul, Roger, Emile, Upper Aboujagane, Donald, Quebec and Leo, Scoudouc; four daughters, Bernice, Eva and Dorothy, Upper Aboujagane, Mrs Cloras LeBlanc (Dianne) Robichaud Office; three brothers, Leon, Henry and Acquilla, Upper Aboujagane; four sisters, Mrs. Adelard Fougere, Mrs. Alyre LeBlanc, Moncton, Mrs. Leo Duguay, Leger Brook and Mrs. Philip Fougere, Shediac, and six grandchildren. He served during the Second World War with the second regiment of the New Brunswick Rangers, 22nd Overseas Battalion and saw active service for five years in France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. The body is resting at his home from where a military funeral will be held Thursday morning at 9:30 a.m. to the church in Upper Aboujagane. Interment will be in the parish lot here.

He was also a founding member of the Club Boishebert of Shediac and a member of the Golden Age Club in Barachois. He attended St. Henri du Barachois Roman Catholic Church. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Marie-Rita (Gaudet) Leger; his daughters, Rose-Marie Baker, Halifax; Geraldine Leger and Ginette Bourque (Raymond), Shediac; Huguette Grenier (Jules), Gaspesie, Que.; Priscille Gould (Reginald), Barachois; sons, Blair-Merville (Elizabeth) and Lucien, Barachois; Charles-Edouard "Charlie" (Suzanne Hebert), Dieppe; Guy, Moncton; sisters, Albertine Leger, Moncton; Francoise Gaudet (late Leonel), Barachois; 19 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.     Kenneth "Kenny" Biddington SHEDIAC, NB - Kenneth "Kenny" Biddington, 65, of Hannington Road, Shediac passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2006 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton following a courageous battle with cancer. Born July 16, 1941 in Shediac, he was the son of the late Percy and Juliette (Boudreau) Biddington. He was owner and operator of Maritime Muffler in Shediac. He enjoyed stock car racing, boating and traveling. Kenny will be remembered by all for his good sense of humour. He is survived by a special companion, Janice Ann Landry and her son André (Tammy Melanson) of Peticodiac; two daughters, Darlene Biddington of Shediac River and Sandra Biddington of Boudreau Office; three sons, David (Ginette) of Dieppe, Steven (Lynn) of Shediac River and Kenneth Jr. (Nancy) of Boudreau Office; the mother of their children and former wife, Géraldine Léger of Shediac; three sisters, Dina Brun (Romuald) of Dieppe, Pauline Biddington and Nancy Boudreau (Paul) of Moncton; his mother-in-law Rita Léger (late Blair) of Grand Barachois; six grandchildren, Ashley, Melissa, Tylor, Aaron, Keïla and James and by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac (532-3297) on Tuesday, September 19, 2006 from 2 to 4p.m. and 7 to 9p.m. and Wednesday, September 20, 2006 from 9:30a.m. until time of departure (10:20a.m.).     LEGER, Blair A. -
    82, Barachois, N.B., passed away on June 1, 1998, in Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital, Moncton. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Ambroise Leger and the late Francoise Cormier. Mr. Leger was a retired construction superintendent for Century Construction, Parsons Construction, Heber Brown and Gifco Construction. He was past president of District 13 School Board, of La Caisse Populaire de Barachois, of the Shediac-Botsford Progressive Conservation Association and of l'Association des Lacordaires. He was also a founding member of the Club Boishebert of Shediac and a member of the Golden Age Club in Barachois. He attended St. Henri du Barachois Roman Catholic Church. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Marie-Rita (Gaudet) Leger; his daughters, Rose-Marie Baker, Halifax; Geraldine Leger and Ginette Bourque (Raymond), Shediac; Huguette Grenier (Jules), Gaspesie, Que.; Priscille Gould (Reginald), Barachois; sons, Blair-Merville (Elizabeth) and Lucien, Barachois; Charles-Edouard "Charlie" (Suzanne Hebert), Dieppe; Guy, Moncton; sisters, Albertine Leger, Moncton; Francoise Gaudet (late Leonel), Barachois; 19 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers, Dismas, Theodore, Frank, Edouard, Ambroise Jr., Emery, and sisters, Emerise Trudeau and Dorothy Bourgeois. Resting at Frenette Funeral Home, 396 Main St., Shediac, N.B., with visiting hours today from 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be held from St. Henri Roman Catholic Church, Barachois, on Wednesday, June 3, at 11 a.m., Rev. Maurice Leger officiating. Interment in the parish cemetery. Donations to the oncology department of the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital would be greatly appreciated by the family.
