Dr. Léo-Paul Léger TRACADIE-SHEILA, NB - Dr. Léo-Paul Léger of Villa St-Joseph passed away on November 6th, 2006 at the Tracadie-Sheila Hospital, at the age of 84. Husband of the late Lorraine LeBlanc, he was the son of the late Zénon Léger and the late Pamela Richard. Dr. Léger was a radiologist in different hospitals of the region and also in Montréal. He is survived by daughter, Denyse of Fredericton; son, Jean-Marc (Lynn Smythe) of Sunny Corner; three sisters, Flora of Massuchessett, Jeannette of Hartford, Connecticut, and Roberte of Bainsville; one brother, Dr. Gabriel Léger of Moncton; one granddaughter, Michelle. He was predeceased by one sister, Madeline; and three brothers, Clarence, Dr. Eugène, and Louis. Dr. Léger will be resting at Robichaud Funeral Home, 3875 Main Street, Tracadie-Sheila, NB, on Wednesday, November 8th, 2006 at 7 to 9 pm and on Thursday, November 9th, 2006 at 10 am until the time of departure. The funeral service will be held at the St-Jean Baptiste Church of Tracadie on Thursday, November 9th, 2006 at noon. In memory of Dr. Léger, donations to the Villa St. Joseph or Tracadie Cemetery will be appreciate. The death of Mrs. Edmee Leger, widow of Zenon Leger of Memramcook West, occurred Wednesday at her residence. She was 74. Born at Gayton, she was a daughter of the late Aime and Emma (LeBlanc) Boudreau and attended St. Thomas Roman Catholic Church in St. Joseph. Her first husband , Antonie Cassidy, died in 1950, while her second husband, Zenon Leger, died in October, 1972. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ernest Paquin of Montreal and Miss Cecilia Cassidy of Frederiction, four step daughters, Mrs. Gerry Arsenault (Roberta) of Windsor, Ont, Mrs Eric Allum (Flora), Mrs. Antonio Brunetti (Jeannette), both of Hartford, Conn., and Mrs. Zoel Cormier (Madelaine) of Sackville; five step sons, Clarence of Dieppe, Dr Eugene and Dr. Gaby Leger, both of Moncton, Louis of Hartford, Conn., and Dr. Leo Paul Leger of Tracadie; three sisters, Mrs. Augustin Dallaire (Lina) and Mrs Marie Allain, both of Moncton, and Mrs. John Charles (Alice) of Toronto; two brothers, Joseph Boudreau of Gayton and Eugene of Lewisville, and by two grandchildren. SACKVILLE - Mrs. Madeline Cormier, 76, of Sackville, and formerly of Memramcook West, passed away on Friday, May 13, 1994 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital after a sudden illness.
Born in Memramcook West, she was the daughter of the late Zenon and Pamela (Rlchard) Leger. She attended Saint Vincents Roman Catholic Church In Sackville. She was a member of the Club D'Age D'Or de Memramcook.
She is survived by a close companion Hartman Atkinson of Sackville; one son, Maurice Cormier (Barbara) of Rhode Island USA., three sisters, Mrs. Jeannette Brunettl of Hartford, Conn., USA, Mrs. Eric Allum (Flora) of Mass, USA, Mrs. Roberte Arsenault of Montreal, Que.; four brothers, Clarence Leger (Gertrude) of Dieppe, Dr. Leo-Paul Leger of Tracadie, Dr. Eugene Leger of Moncton, Dr. Gabriel Leger (Arlette) of Moncton; two grandchildren. Christine and Melissa; one great grand-s on Dylan; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by ber husband Zoel Cormier In 1968; one brother, Louis, in 1984.
Resting at St. Thomas de Memramcook Church in St. Joseph. The family will receive relatives and friends one hour before mass, from 6 to 7 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at St.-Thomas de Memramcook Church on Monday, May 16, 1994 at 7 p.m. Interment in St. Thomas Cemetery in St. Joseph.
