    Albertine Gallant - MEMRAMCOOK, NB -
    Albertine Gallant of La Montain passed away at her residence on Sunday, February 18th, 2007 at the age of 78. Born in La Montain, she was the daughter of the late Thaddee Leger and the late Alice Melanson. She worked as a Janitor at the Université de Moncton until her retirement. She is survived by one daughter, Yolande (Terry) Brant of Deseronto, ON; four sons, Daniel (Charline) Gallant of Dieppe, Donald (Antoinette) Gallant of St-Joseph, Brian (Janice) Gallant of Little Dover Road, Marc Gallant of La Montain; one sister, Therese (Gus) Gallant of Dieppe; two brothers, Ronald (Nan) Leger of Moncton and Normand (Phyllis) Leger of Dover; eight grandchildren, Jason, Tina, Joel, Nicole, Carole, Martin, John, Josee; and one great grandchild, Olivia; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Johnny Gallant (1996); three sisters, Antoinette Leger, Rita LeBlanc and Maria Leger. Visitation will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home, 15 Rte La Vallee, Memramcook on Monday, February 19th from 7 to 9pm, Tuesday, February 20th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm and Wednesday, February 21st from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Funeral mass will be held at St-Thomas de Memramcook Roman Catholic church, St-Joseph on Wednesday, February 21st at 11:00 am. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery. Arrangement is in care of Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook. www.dupuisfuneralhome.ca.

    Gordon K. Carpenter -
    Gordon K. Carpenter 70, of Moncton with his loving wife and family at his side, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Friday, December 28, 2007 following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Clarence and Vonnie (Keay) Carpenter. Gordon was a retired sales representative for Gibbons Foods Ltd. and C.M. Carpenter Ltd. He was a member of the United Church of Canada, former member of the Moncton Bicentennial Skating Club and former member of the Cardiac Wellness Clinic at The University of Moncton (CEPS). He enjoyed gardening, bird watching, crafts, was an avid walker, was well known for his quick wit, humour, friendly smile, but first and foremost was his love for his family. Gordon will be sadly missed by his wife of 50 years Elizabeth (Betty) (Hynes) Carpenter; sons, David and his children, Andrew and Abigail, Jim (Janet) and their children, Joshua and Ashley, Moncton; sisters, Nan Leger (Ron), Moncton, Judi Fullerton (Floyd), Lower Sackville, NS, Barb Campbell (Rae), Linda MacDonald, Stellarton, NS; brothers, Phil (Pat Roach), Bruce (Debbie), Stellarton, NS, Doug (Wendy Richardson), Greenwood, NS, Steve (Nancy), Mackay, AB; mother-in-law, Rita Hynes; sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Tom Fraser; numerous nieces and nephews. No visitation by personal request. Funeral service at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Monday, December 31, 2007, 11:00 am, Rev. Ron Maund officiating. Reception following the service. Family flowers only. In Gordon's memory donations to Friends of the Moncton Hospital, Palliative Care or Oncology Units or memorial of choice would be appreciated.
