Frank (François) Melanson

NASHWAAKSIS – Frank (François) Melanson, 72, of York Manor, Nashwaaksis and formerly of Irishtown, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, January 22, 1997, after a courageous battle with Muscular Dystrophy.

Born in Scotch Settlement, he was the son of the late William and Clara (Léger) Melanson.

He is survived by his sisters, Jean Donovan of Irishtown, Anita Babineau and Georgina Donovan (Edward) both of Moncton; his brothers Hector of Moncton, Ernest (Corinne) of St. Philippe and William of Nahwaaksis. He was predeceased by his sisters, Irène and Corrine, and brother Eric.

Resting at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd, 88 Church St., Moncton (858-1900) with visiting hours on Friday from 2 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Lawrence O’Toole Roman Catholic Church, Irishtown on Friday, January 24, 1997 at 4 p.m. with Rev. Georges LeBlanc officiating. Interment will be held in Notre Dame Roman Catholic Cemetery in the spring.
