Jude LeBlanc Shediac, Feb. 22 -
The death of Jude LeBlanc, of Fitchburg, Mass., at the age of 90 years occurred on Friday of last week. The deceased was a native of Upper Aboujagane and had resided in Fitchburg for about 25 years, having gone there from his old home in Upper Aboujagane. He was predeceased by his wife 23 years ago and he leaves to mourn seven children, Adolphe, of Malden, Mass.; Mrs. Hubert Bernard, of New Bedford, Mass.; Donat, of Saint John; Stanislas, of Fox Creek; Mrs. Edward Leger, of Shediac; Hypolite, of Upper Aboujagane, and Julien, of Hartford, Conn.; also two brothers, Onesime LeBlanc, of Hartford, Conn., and Teophil LeBlanc, of Moncton, and one sister, Mrs. Gaspard LeBlanc, of Robichaud Office. The body arrived in Shediac Saturday evening where it rested at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Leger until Sunday afternoon, when it was taken to Upper Aboujagane by motor hearse for burial. The funeral service was held from the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus with Rev. Father A. A. Leger officiating. The pallbearers were Camil LeBlanc, great grandson of the deceased, and Alphonse LeBlanc, Henry Leger, Hubert, Gerald and Emile Leger, grandsons of the deceased. The large concourse of friends and relatives that gathered at the church, as well as the large number of floral tributes and mass cards testified to the high esteem in which the deceased was held.
