Bernice Cormier
Mrs. Bernice "Beeb" Cormier, 45, of Tower Drive, Dieppe, passed away at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital on Monday, October 21, 1996, after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Born in Scoudouc, she was the daughter of Stella (LeBlanc) Léger and the late Léandre Léger. A housewife, who was a caregiver to children in her home, she attended Notre-Dame-de-Lorette Roman Catholic Church, Lakeburn.
Besides her mother, she is survived by her husband, Charles Cormier; one daughter, Tammy at home; four sisters, Jeannine LeBlanc (Paul), Murielle Arsenault (Dave) and Cécile Haché (Gilbert), all of Moncton and Claudette Léger of Dieppe; five brothers, Normand, Maurice, Roger and Roland (Stella) ail of Moncton and Henri (Linda) of Riverview; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Resitng at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton, with visiting hours on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral mass will be held on Thursday, October 24, 1996, at 10 a.m. at the Notre-Dame-de-Grâce Roman Catholic Church, Parkton, with Reverand Robert Allain officiating. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Roman Catholic Cemetery, Dieppe.

Jules Laviolette MONCTON -
Au Centre des anciens combattants de Moncton, le dimanche 5 novembre 2006, à l’âge de 85 ans, est décédé Jules Laviolette, domicilié au centre. Né le 18 novembre 1920 à Charlo, N.-B., il était fils de feu Philippe et Délima (LeClair) Laviolette. Il laisse dans le deuil quatre enfants: Don (Judy), Claude (feu Lucy), Anne et Peter; quatre petits-enfants: Chris et Shawn Cook, Laura et Brandley Laviolette; sa soeur, Rosemarie, ainsi que des nièces et neveux. Deux frères: Valmond et Joseph; sa soeur, Béatrice et son ex-épouse, Célina (Leger), l’ont précédé dans la tombe. Il était un ancien combattant de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, il a servi à l’étranger à 19 ans. Revenu de la guerre, il a travaillé au CN, à la Croix-Bleue et au dépôt no 5 de la défense nationale à Moncton. Jules était un passionné de la chasse, du jardinage et de la nature. La famille recevra les condoléances le jeudi 9 novembre, de 14h à 16h et de 19h à 21h, au salon funéraire Frenette, 88, rue Church (www.salonfrenette.com), d’où les funérailles auront lieu, le vendredi 10 novembre, à 11h. Les anciens combattants auront un service commémoratif, le jeudi 9 novembre, à 19h au salon funéraire. Un don à la Fondation des maladies du coeur ou à la Société d’Alzheimer serait apprécié par la famille. La famille Laviolette remercie les employés du Centre des anciens combattants, ainsi que les gens du Co-Aid, d’avoir soigné notre père. Dad, on va manquer ton sens

Jules Laviolette 1920 - 2006 -
It is with great sadness we announce the death of Jules Laviolette, 85, on Sunday, November 5, 2006 at the Moncton Veterans Health Center where he resided. Born November 18, 1920 in Charlo, NB, he was the son of the late Philippe and Délima (LeClair) Laviolette. At 19 years of age, he enlisted in the army and served overseas during the second world war with the North Shore Regiment. After the war his various employments were at CN, Blue Cross, and D.N.D. Supply Depot No. 5. Jules was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Moncton Branch No. 6, an avid gardener, hunter and a great outdoorsman. He will be greatly missed by his four children, Don (Judy), Claude (late Lucy), Anne, Peter; four grandchildren, Chris and Shawn Cook, Laura and Brandley Laviolette; a sister, Rosemarie; several nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Valmond, Joseph; a sister, Beatrice; and his estranged wife, Célina (Leger) predeceased him. The family will receive condolences Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) from where the funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 10, 2006. A service of remembrance for Jules, conducted by the Royal Canadian Legion, Moncton Branch No. 6., will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial donations to the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation, Alzheimer's Society, or to the charity of the donors choice would be appreciated.
