    With great sadness, the Goguen-Mallet family announces the passing of Paul Goguen, very peacefully at home surrounded by the love and solitude of his loving wife Suzanne and his family, on Thursday, November 23rd, 2006. Paul was born in Moncton, son of Rita (Leger) Goguen and the late Marcel Goguen. He was a graduate of Louis-J.-Robichaud High School in Shediac and had obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree at the Université de Moncton. His first employment was with the Provincial Department of Fisheries as Programs Officer and he later built a career with Acadia Motors, as Salesman Extraordinaire, then as General Manager for Mr. and Mrs. Girvan and later as Sales Manager when Sam Girvan took the helm of the dealership. Paul built a solid Clientele in part due to his integrity and his caring approach to all his clients. They would leave feeling good about their purchase but, more importantly, feeling good about themselves. He had the gift of making everyone feel special and will be remembered by family and friends for his great love of family, courage and integrity and the serenity in which he met the challenges of serious illness through his life. His spirit will live on through the many whose lives he touched by his gentle and generous nature. Paul leaves to mourn him his devoted wife, Suzanne (Née Mallet); his mother, Rita Goguen of Saint Marcel; his son, Marcel and wife, Vicky; his grandsons, Stephane and Jonathan; his godson and nephew, Tony Goguen; his sister, Rachel (Late John DeWitt) Goguen of Coquitlam, BC; Claire (Bill) Fitzpatrick, Grand-Digue; five brothers, Bernard (Linda), Upper Kingsclear, Camille (Marjorie), Desire (Anita Melanson), Jacques (Jennifer Murray) all of Moncton, Normand (Monique Daigle), Shediac River. His father-in-law and great friend, Leonide (Rose-Marie Godin) Mallet, Shippagan; his sister-in-law, Jeannette (Mark Henchey) Mallet, Moncton; three brothers-in-law, Donald (Nadine Bezeau) Mallet, Miscou; Eddy (Late Lucie) Mallet, Normand (Carole Gauvin) Mallet, Pointe-Brulee; and Suzanne's mother, Rose O'Brien of Moncton. Grieving his passing are nieces, Denise (Darryl) Doucette of Shediac River, Michelle (Byron) Embree of Coverdale, Brigitte Violette Goguen of Vancouver, BC, Michelle (John) Sinkens of Cambridge, ON, Kelly Fitzpatrick of Kingston, ON, Julie Goguen of Dieppe, France (Ken) LeBlanc of Bedford, NS, Natalie Goguen of Barachois, Carole Goguen of Cap Pele, Janette (Mark) Ashton of Sherwood Park, AB and from the Shippagan area nieces, Manon, Gisele, Stephanie and Marie-Claude and also Marissa of Saint John. Grieving the loss of their uncle are nephews, Donny (Andrea) Goguen, Springhill, NS, Tony and Mark Goguen, Moncton, Stephen Fitzpatrick, Grand-Digue, Christien Goguen, Moncton, Marc and Joey Mallet, Pointe-Brulee. Also grieving is Marie (Breau) Goguen, mother of son Marcel. Paul was predeceased by his father in 1975; by his grandparents, Hubert and Elise (Leger) Goguen of Notre-Dame and Lionel and Ozelie (Robichaud) Leger of Saint- Marcel. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted in the hands of Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995). Family, friends and associates of Paul are invited to offer their condolences to the family during visitation hours from 2 to 4pm and from 7 to 9pm on Sunday, November 26th, 2006 and from 12:30 until the time of the Funeral Service to be held at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel at 2pm on Monday, November 27th, 2006.     Paul Goguen (1950-2006) -
    C’est avec beaucoup de tristesse que la famille Goguen-Mallet annonce le décès de Paul Goguen, décédé paisiblement à sa résidence entouré d’amour et de
    solitude de son épouse, Suzanne et de sa famille, le jeudi 23 novembre 2006. Paul est né à Moncton, fils de Rita (Léger) Goguen et de feu Marcel Goguen. Il était un diplômé de la Polyvalente Louis-J.-Robichaud de Shédiac et a obtenu son baccalauréat ès arts de l’Université de Moncton. Son premier emploi était pour le ministère provincial des Pêches en tant que responsable de programme et il a par la suite bâti une carrière en tant que vendeur extraordinaire chez Acadia Motors puis en tant que gérant pour M. et Mme Girvan et plus tard en tant que gérant des ventes lorsque Sam Girvan pris la tête du concessionnaire. Paul s’est fait une clientèle solide dû en parti en son intégrité et son intérêt envers ses clients. Ses derniers partaient satisfait de leur achat mais plus important encore en se sentant bien à propos d’eux-mêmes. Il avait le don de faire sentir aux gens qu’ils étaient spéciaux. Sa famille et ses amis se souviendront du grand amour qu’il avait pour sa famille, de son courage et de son intégrité ainsi que la sérénité avec laquelle il a fait face aux défis d’une maladie sérieuse tout au long de sa vie. Son âme continuera de vivre à travers les gens qu’il a touchés avec sa nature douce et généreuse. Les parents et amis de Paul sont invités à offrir leurs condoléances à la famille durant les heures de visites le dimanche 26 novembre, de 14h à 16h et de 19h à 21h et le lundi 27 novembre, de 12h30 jusqu’à l’heure du service funéraire qui aura lieu à 14h, à la chapelle de la Maison funéraire Ferguson Knowles. Le révérend Maurice Léger sera le célébrant. L’inhumation se fera au cimetière Notre-Dame-de-la-Visitation de Grande-Digue. Une réception suivra le service.
