Melanie M. Leger, 90
FITCHBURG - Melanie M. (Cormier) Leger, 90, of 14 Theresa St., died yesterday in Leominster Hospital after an illness.
Her husband, Louis J. Leger, died in 1979. She leaves a daughter, Greta M. Cali of Fitchburg; four grandchildren, Sebastian and Anthony Cali, and Cindy Lubianez, all of Fitchburg, and Linda LaFleur of Leominster; and five great-grandchildren. Born in Upper Aboujagane, New Brunswick, daughter of James and Julie (Arseneau) Cormier, she lived many years in Fitchburg.
Mrs. Leger was a homemaker and a member of Madonna of the Holy Rosary Church. She enjoyed watching sports, especially baseball, and never missed voting in an election.
The funeral will be held Friday from Louis M. Isabelle Funeral Home, 316 Clarendon St., with a Mass at 9:30 a.m. in Madonna of the Holy Rosary Church, 118 Theresa St. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home.
