    Elsie Leger FITCHBURG -
    Elsie (LeBlanc) Leger, 90, of Leominster Crossings and formerly of 279 Daniels St. and 110 St. Joseph Ave., died Friday, Oct. 21, at the HealthAlliance Hospital/Leominster. She was the widow of Edmond Leger, who died in 1982. Mrs. Leger was born in Fitchburg, Jan. 6, 1915, a daughter of Philomon and Melina (Richard) LeBlanc and was been a lifelong Fitchburg resident. Mrs. Leger had worked in the cafeteria at Fitchburg High School for 10 years, retiring in 1980. Prior to that she worked as an upholsterer at Selig Company. She was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in Fitchburg and a member of the Daughters of Isabella. She was also a member of the retired Women’s Club. Mrs. Leger also enjoyed playing cards, especially cribbage and pinochle. Mrs. Leger enjoyed family gatherings and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Leger is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Richard D. and Paula Leger of Leominster; two daughters and son-in-laws, Diane and Joseph Thibaudeau of Ashby and Deidre and Paul Pierce of Burlington. She also leaves 13 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Leon J. LeBlanc, Lionel LeBlanc and Edgar LeBlanc, all of Fitchburg.

    LEGER -- Elsie (LeBlanc) Leger, 90, of Leominster. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10: 30 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 25, at St. Joseph’s Church, 49 Woodland St., Fitchburg. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m., Monday, Oct. 24, at the Louis M. Isabelle Funeral Home, 316 Clarendon St., Fitchburg. A time of reflection and remembrance will be held at 7:30 to 8 p.m. the night of the calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the Beacon of Hope, 62 West Street, Leominster, MA 01453 Please see www.isabellefuneral.com for additional information.
