SEARS, Harold -
75, Truro, died April 25, 1997, in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Sackville, N.B., he was a son of the late Wesley and Mary Belle (Lerette) Sears. He retired to Truro, after being employee of Ford Motor Co., Oakville, for 28 years. A veteran of Second World War, he served with the Canadian Army in England, and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Debert. Surviving are his wife, the former Ona Legere; sons, Owen, Stephen, Mississauga; daughters, Irene, Orangeville, Ont.; Joanne Colosino, Truro; brothers, Robert, Vernon, Sackville; Wesley, Amherst; sisters, Louise Babcock, Julia (Mrs. Bill Bulmer), Sackville; Mildred Lynn, British Columbia; Greta Worthing, Bridgewater, Lunenburg Co.; seven grandchildren; a great-grandchild. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, funeral 2 p.m. Tuesday, both in Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, N.B., Rev. Alyre Cormier officiating. Burial will follow in Four Corners Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Canadian Cancer Society.
