RICHIBUCTO - Mr. Irenee Chevarie, 76, of Richibucto passed away on Thursday, March 20, 1997 at the Dr. Georges L.Dumont Hospital, Moncton, following a brief illness.
Born in St. Charles, N.B., he was the son of the late Pacific and Sara (Leger) Chevarie. He had worked for A.E. Mundle and was with Sanitoy Inc. until retirement. He attended St. Louis de Gonzague Roman Catholic Church, Richibucto.
He is survived by a special friend, Herculine Allain; three daughters, Jeannette Flaggs (Russel), Antoinette Banks (David) and Rita Racine (Rick), all of Fitchburg, Mass.; one son, Jeffery Chevarie of Fitchburg, Mass; 8 stepsisters, Alma Richard (Leonide) of St. Norbert, Bernadette LeBlanc (Lionel) of Moncton, Rose-Eva Thibodeau (Eli) of St. Norbert, Bertha Saulnier (Basil) of Richibucto, Aline Gibbs (Edward) of Inkerman, Cecile Peitraszko (Henry) of Aldouane, Margaret Comeau (Vincent) of Richibucto, Germaine Comeau (Roger) of Aldouane; four stepbrothers, Alphonse Daigle of Rexton, Aldenc Daigle of Saint John, Romeo Daigle of Aldouane, Ernest Daigle of Aldouane; 11 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one daughter, Anne Gionet; one stepsister, Beatrice Boucher; three stepbrothers, Ben, Gerald and Roger.
Resting at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252) with visiting hours on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 9 a.m. until time of funeral. Funeral service to be held at St. Louis de Gonzague Roman Catholic Church, Richibucto on Monday, March 24, 1997, at 10:30 a.m. Interment in Aldouane Roman Catholic Church Cemetery in the spring.
