BISHOP, David Gerald -
51, 5 Christie St., Amherst, died May 9, 1996, in Highland View Regional Hospital, Amherst. Born in Amherst, he was a son of Gerald and Christina (Gray) Bishop, Maccan. He had worked as a correctional officer in Dorchester, N.B.; as a weight inspector for the Nova Scotia Department of Transportation and as a truck driver for several trucking companies in the area. He was a member of Step in Time Dancers; an associate member of Royal Canadian Legion, Amherst branch 10 and former member of Collingwood Snowmobile Club. Surviving are his former wife, Pat (Leger), Amherst; daughter, Colette (Mrs. Eric Wilson), River Hebert Head, N.S.; son, Gerald J., Amherst; sister, Beverly, Bridgewater; two nieces. Visitation 2-4 p.m. today, 7-9 p.m. Sunday in Furlong's Funeral Home, Amherst. Funeral 2 p.m. Monday in Nappan United Church, Rev. Robert Mack officiating. Burial in Maccan Cemetery. Flowers and donations accepted.
