    Yvon Allain 1923 - 2007 SAINTE-MARIE DE KENT - Yvon Allain, 83 of Sainte-Marie de Kent, passed away after a lengthy illness on Thursday, January 11th, 2007 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton. Born in Sainte-Marie de Kent on May 29th, 1923, he was the son of the late Gonzague and Elise (née Léger) Allain. He attended Notre-Dame du Mont Carmel Roman Catholic Church, Sainte-Marie de Kent, and was a member of the Sainte-Marie de Kent Golden age club. He was a farmer. Yvon is survived by his wife, Edith (née Allain) Allain; three daughters, Dorice Cormier of Sainte-Marie de Kent, Annette Bourque (Paul), and Marie Allain both of Moncton; one son, Alonzo (Marie-Paul) of Sainte-Marie de Kent; five grandchildren, Isabelle, Mireille, Nicole, Chantal, Carole; and two great grandchildren, Samantha and Jolaine; two sisters, Elodie Richard (Antoine) of Notre-Dame, Thérèse Allain of Moncton; one brother, Joseph of Moncton; and also several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by one son, Normand (1959); three sisters, Hélène, Evéline, Marie Elodie; and five brothers, Lionel, Désiré, Evariste, Thomas, and Edouard. He will be resting at Notre-Dame du Mont Carmel Roman Catholic Church slumber room, Sainte-Marie de Kent, with visitation on Sunday, January 14th, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9, and Monday, January 15th, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 5:30 to 6:45pm. Funeral mass will be held at the Notre-Dame du Mont Carmel Roman Catholic Church, Sainte-Marie de Kent at 7:00pm on Monday, January 15th, 2007. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.     À l'Hôpital régional Dr-Georges-L.-Dumont de Moncton, le jeudi 11 janvier 2007, à l'âge de 83 ans, est décédé entouré de sa famille, Yvon Allain, époux de Edith (née Allain) Allain, domicilié à Sainte-Marie-de-Kent. Né à Sainte-Marie-de-Kent le 29 mai 1923, il était fils de feu Gonzague et Elise (née Léger) Allain. Il laisse dans le deuil, en plus de son épouse depuis 56 ans, trois filles: Dorice Cormier (André) de Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, Annette Bourque (Paul) et Marie Allain, toutes deux de Moncton; un fils, Alonzo (Marie-Paul) de Sainte-Marie-de-Kent; cinq petits-enfants: Isabelle, Mireille, Nicole, Chantal et Carole; deux arrière-petits-enfants: Samantha et Jolaine; deux soeurs: Elodie Richard (Antoine) de Notre-Dame et Thérèse Allain de Moncton; un frère, Joseph de Moncton, ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces. Un fils, Normand (1959); trois soeurs: Hélène, Evéline et Marie Elodie, ainsi que cinq frères: Lionel, Désiré, Evariste, Thomas et Edouard, l'ont précédé dans la tombe. La dépouille mortelle sera exposée à la salle mortuaire de l'église de Sainte-Marie-de-Kent.     M. Allain a été concierge à l’école élémentaire de Sainte-Marie de Kent pendant 20 ans. Il a été directeur exécutif de l’exposition agricole dans Kent pendant 34 ans, et directeur de la Caisse populaire de Sainte-Marie de Kent de 1954-1976.
    La dépouille mortelle fut exposée à la salle mortuaire de Sainte-Marie de Kent. Les funérailles ont eu lieu en l’église Mont-Carmel de Sainte-Marie de Kent, le lundi 23 mars à 19h. L’inhumation aura lieu au cimetière de l’endroit, plus tard ce printemps.

    BOUCTOUCHE, NB - Désiré Allain, 87, widowed of Sarah (Cormier) Allain (1991), of Manoir St-Jean Baptiste, Bouctouche and formerly of NotreDame, NB, passed away at Manoir StJean Baptiste, Bouctouche on Wednesday, August 6, 2003 after a lengthy illness. Born in Sainte-Marie de Kent, NB on October 14, 1915 he was the son of the late Gonzague Allain and the late Elise Léger. He was a farmer and a Plant Operator with Modern Paving for 25 years. He attended the Notre-Dame du Sacré Coeur Roman Catholic Church, NotreDame and was a member of NotreDame Golden Age Club. He is survived by seven daughters, Jeanita Goguen of Notre-Dame, AnneMarie Haché (Edouard) of Irishtown, Lucille LeBlanc (Aldéo) of Moncton, Rita Richard (Louis) of Saint-Antoine, Pauline Sheehan (Peter) of Calgary, Fernande Goguen (Camille) of Cocagne, Jacinthe Bennett (Tim) of New Glasgow, NS; two sons, Guy, Jean-Marie (Gisèle) both of Notre-Dame; four sisters, Hélène Dallaire (Jos), Eveline Robichaud both of Sainte-Marie de Kent, Elodie Richard (Antoine) of NotreDame, Thérèse Allain of Moncton; two brothers, Yvon (Edith) of Sainte-Marie de Kent, Jos of Moncton; 21 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one son, Leonard (1963); four brothers, Lionel, Thomas, Evariste, Edouard. Resting at Notre-Dame de SacréCoeur Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Notre-Dame with visitation on Thursday, August 7 from 7 to 9, Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and on Saturday from 9 to 10:45 am. The Funeral Service will be held at Notre-Dame du Sacré Coeur Roman Catholic Church, NotreDame on Saturday, August 9, 2003 at 11:00 am. Interment to take place in the Parish Cemetery.
