Lorraine Babin 1925-2007 TORONTO, ON- Lorraine Babin, wife of Paul Babin, passed away December 28, 2007. Born March 6, 1925 in Notre-Dame she was a daughter of the late Edward and Ursule (Hebert) Leger. She was predeceased by her son, Noel Breau; two sisters Cora and Amanda; four brothers, Alfred-Joseph, Hector, Clovis and Lionel. She is survived by one brother, Alfred (Edith) Leger and six sisters, Edna Gagnon, Doris LeBlanc, Marianne LeBlanc, Aline Melanson, Laurise (Al) Gray and Marie (Laurie) LeBlanc as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service took place at Wignall Chapel in Toronto January 5, 2008. Léonce Cassidy 1920 - 2008 Léonce Cassidy, 87, of the Villa Providence, and formerly of St. Joseph St., Shediac passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton following a lengthy illness. Born June 19, 1920 in Shediac, he was the son of the late Armand and Alice (Melanson) Cassidy. A loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, Léonce will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 62 years, Rita (Dollard) Cassidy; two daughters, Thérèse Gagnon (Normand) and Maria Léger (Marcel) of Grand-Barachois; three sons, Roland (Pat) of Kitchener, ON, Ben (Rina) and Aurel "Ork" (Jeannita Cormier) of Shediac; one sister, Rita Cassidy of Shediac; one brother, Reginald Cassidy (Cora) of Shediac Bridge; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mr. Cassidy was employed for 37 years with the N.B. Liquor Commission in Shediac. Léonce loved to entertain seniors with his accordian and was very active in his community. He was an avid bowler and a big sports fan. He was a member of the Golden Age Club and the Boishébert Club in Shediac. Visitation at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac (532-3297) on Wednesday, from 2 to 4p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, from 1 p.m. until time of departure (1:50 p.m. ). Funeral mass will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 10, 2008 at Saint-Joseph R.C. Church, Shediac. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Dumont Hospital, Monday, December 29, 2003. Born in Lynn, Mass, USA on October 31, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Hector Dollard and Marie-Blanche Léger. She was a housewife and a member of Notre-Dame du Mont Carmel Roman Catholic Church, SainteMarie de Kent. She is survived by four daughters, Lorraine Cormier (Elie) of Ayer, Mass, Murielle Cormier of Vaudreuil, Québec, Ella Perry (Ivan) of Athol, Mass., Rita Cormier (Norman) of Dieppe; two sons, Octave (Kathleen) of Lancaster, Mass, Gerard (Huberte) of Harvard, Mass.; three sisters, Eva Fregeau of Pawtucket, R.I., Sr. Anita Dollard s.s.a of Montreal, Rita Cassidy (Léance) of Shédiac; three brothers, Albert of Saugus, Mass., Abel of Avinger, Texas, Paul (Irène) of Marlboro, Mass.; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; several nephews and nieces. Predeceased by three brothers, Antoine, Henri, Gerard.
