Rachel is survived by her common law husband, Georges Cormier; two daughters, Gisèle Dominique, Nicole Cormier both of Moncton; on son, Donald Dominique (Jeanne) of Meriden, Conn.; five grandchildren, Jason, Robyn, Eric, Jeremy, Angelique; three great grandchildren, Reanna, Dawson, Austin; her ex- husband, Gerald Dominique; one sister, Bernice Hébert (Emery) of Bouctouche Bay; two brothers, Guy (Germaine), Léo-Paul both of Bouctouche Bay, and several nephews and nieces. Visitation will be held at the Maillet Funeral Home Ltd, 29 rue de l'église, Bouctouche, from Tuesday January 8th, at 2:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche, on Wednesday January 9th, 2008 at 4:00 pm. Interment will be in the parish cemetery in the spring.     Lac La Hache man killed as car plunges off road - One man was killed and another seriously injured late last Friday night when a late-model car crashed off highway 97 near 142 Mile. Dead is Robert Lee Henderson, 21, of Lac La Hache, a passenger in the car. Reported in critical condition in hospital here is a 17 year old youth, also of Lac La Hache. The driver of the car another 17 year old Lac La Hache boy, escaped with slight injuries. RCMP said the car went out of control while going north and slammed into a deep ditch. Henderson was pinned beneath the vehicle, police said. The youths were travelling in the convertible-type vehicle with the top down when the accident occured. Cause of the crash has not been determined. Henderson was reported dead when RCMP arrived at the scene at 10 p.m. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Myron Henderson of Lac La Hache. During the past four years the victim was employed by several logging firms. Born in Amherst, Nova Scotia, he moved to the Cariboo in 1956 and received the remainder of his education in Lac La Hache. Besides his parents he is survived by four brothers; Donnie, Roger, Richard, and Larry at home: two sister: Mrs. Allen Yelland and Mrs. Bert Stinson, both of Clinton. Prayers were at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Lac La Hache, Monday at 8 p.m. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday and interment was at Williams Lake Municipal Cemetery. Gregory's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

    À l’Hôpital régional Dr-Georges-L.-Dumont de Moncton, le vendredi 17 juin 2005, à l’âge de 76 ans, est décédée Emma Bastarache, épouse de Oswald Bastarache, domiciliée à Sainte-Antoine-de-Kent, mais autrefois de Sainte-Marie-de-Kent. Elle était fille de feu Henri Gauvin et de feu Joséphine Cormier. Outre son époux, elle laisse dans le deuil une fille, Linda Bastarache de Moncton; quatre fils: Donald de Dalhousie, Roger (Lisette) de Moncton, Léo (Francine) de Shediac Bridge et Guy de Calgary; trois soeurs: Alma Williams de Bouctouche, Louise Bastarache (Emery) de Sainte-Marie-de-Kent et Marie Léger (Roger) de Leominster, Mass.; deux frères: Jim (Nélida) de Saint-Antoine-de-Kent et Émile (Jeanne) de Leominster; quatre petits-enfants: Maryse, Mathieu, Marie-Hélène et Renée-Anne, ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces. Un frère, Léo (2001), l’a précédée dans la tombe. La dépouille mortelle sera exposée à compter de 14h, le mardi 21 juin, à la salle mortuaire de l’église de Sainte-Marie-de-Kent. Les funérailles auront lieu en l’église Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel de Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, le mardi 21 juin, à 19h30. L’inhumation se fera au cimetière paroissial.
