Death of F. Legere - Sackville (Special) -
Frank Legere, 78, of Port Elgin died in the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Wednesday following a lenghthy illness. He was born at Melrose, son of the late Jaddeus and Mathilda (Cormier) Legere. He was a machinist for 50 years and a member of St. Clement's Roman Cathlolic Church and of the Holy Name Society. Survivors include his second wife, the former Eleanor Shea; six sons, Cecil and Roy, Moncton, Amos and Ernest, Hamilton, Leonard; Calgary and Albert, Sackville; three daughters, Mrs. Leonard LeBlanc (Katherine), Moncton, Mrs. Leon Cormier (Doris), Pictou and Mrs. Emile LeBLanc (Sara), Little Cape; two sisters, Mrs. George LeBlanc and Miss Elizabeth Legere, Port Elgin; 40 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren. The body is resting at Jones Funeral Home in Port Elgin from where the service will be held on Saturday morning at 10 o'clock. À l’Hôpital Dr Georges-L. Dumont de Moncton, le mercredi 11 juillet 1990, à l’âge de 79 ans, est décédée Sarah LeBlanc, épouse de Émile LeBlanc, domicilié à Petit-Cap. Il était fils de feu Frank Léger et de feue Philonise Donelle.
Outre son époux, elle laisse dans le deuil sa belle mère, Eleonor (Earl Goodwin), de Port Elgin ; trois filles : Cécile (Emery Vienneau) de Cormier Village, Rita (Roger Landry), de Cap-Pelé, et Aline (Yvon Cormier), de Bas Cap-Pelé ; six fils : Emery, Albert, Joey, Yvon et Léo, tous de Petit-Cap, et Francis, de Cap-Pelé ; une soeur, Catherine (Léonard LeBlanc), de Moncton ; six frères :Roy, d’Ottawa, Léonard, de Calgary, Alberta, Albert, de Dorchester, Omer et Ernest, tous deux de Hamilton, Ont., et Cécil, de Moncton, ainsi que 28 petits-enfants et 145 arrière-petits-enfants.
Un fils, Léo, et un frère, Joe, l’ont précédé dans la tombe.
La dépouille mortelle est présentement exposée au Salon du Club de l’âge d’or de Shemogue. Les funérailles auront lieu, le vendredi 13 juillet à 11h en l’église Saint-Timothée de Shemogue, et de là au cimetière de l’endroit.
La direction des funérailles a été confiée à la Maison funéraire Frenette de Shédiac.

Born in Hove, Sussex, England, she was a daughter of Catherine (Wallis) Rhodes and the late Joseph Rhodes. Retired, she worked with Sackville Memorial Hospital for 14 years and attended St.Paul’s Anglican Church, Sackville. She was a member of Fort Beausejour Chapter IODE and a past president of the J Sackvllle Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
Besides her mother and husband, she is survived by three daughters, Mrs. David Tracy (Lois) of Kentville, NS., Mrs. John Long (Brenda) of Sackville and Mrs. Stephen Siddall (Anne) of Rothesay; two sons, Ronald of Lower Sackville, NS., and David of Agassiz, B.C.; and 11 grandchildren. A son, Donald, died in 1964.
The body is at Jones Funeral Home, Sackville.
