Biographical information / Informations biographiques

Photographe professionel pendant 44 ans2
A professional photographer for over 44 years. He attended the former St. Ignatius School, and was a graduate of the former St. Ignatius High School in 1947. He also was a graduate of the Franklin Institute of Photography in Boston. He enlisted in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was stationed in Japan as a medical technician at what later became Tokyo General Hospital. Following his discharge in 1951, he opened Legere's Studio which he operated until his retirement in 1996. In 1980, he added Formal Wear and Limo Service to his photo company. A 75 year resident of Sanford, and a summer resident of Wilson Lake in Acton for 40 years, he has been a winter resident of St. Petersburg, Fla., for the past 7 years. He enjoyed summer days at Wilson Lake and winter days in St. Petersburg. He enjoyed flower gardening, playing cards, dancing, ice skating and water and snow skiing. He especially enjoyed taking all the kids boating and water skiing.
He was a communicant of St. Ignatius Church. He was also a member of St. Jean de Baptiste, and the American Legion2,4
