    Stanislas Bourque

    SCOUDOUC, NB - Stanislas Bourque, 82, of Scoudouc, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2006 at The Moncton Hospital, Moncton. Born in Scoudouc, October 21, 1923, he was the son of the late Clément Bourque and the late Elmée LeBlanc. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Bourque worked as a custodian with School District #1. A Veteran during World War II, he served with the Medical Corps in Northern Europe. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, 3rd Degree, Council #10271 in Scoudouc and a member of the Scoudouc Golden Age Club. He is survived by his wife, Alma (Léger) Bourque; two daughters, Rachel King (Wayne) of MacLean Cross Road, Monique Bourque of Memramcook; one son, Clarence (Angèle) of Scoudouc; four sisters, Demerise Boudreau of Moncton, Thérèse Drisdelle of Sussex, Alida LeBlanc (Francis) of Colorado, U.S.A., Rita Rocheleau of Montréal, QC.; two brothers, Léandre and Roger both of Montréal, QC; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Visitation at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297) on Monday, March 20 from 2 to 4p.m. and 7 to 9p.m. and Tuesday, March 21 from 10a.m. until time of departure at 10:40a.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at 11a.m. on Tuesday, March 21, 2006 at Saint-Jacques-le-Majeur Roman Catholic Church, Scoudouc.     Léo Paul Léger (1935-2007) -
    Léo Paul Léger, 72, of Oakcroft Cresent, Moncton, passed away on Friday, June 15, 2007 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton following a lengthy illness. Born May 26, 1935 in Cocagne, he was the son of the late Irénée Léger and the late Alba Cormier. Mr. Léger owned a plumbing business and was a Real Estate Investor in Waltham, Mass. prior to his retirement. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, he enjoyed traveling with his family and was an involved parent to his children and in his later years to his grandchildren who became a joy to his life. Always ready to help those less fortunate with acts of kindness, Léo Paul provided Thanksgiving dinners to needing families and helped Veterans and others get back on their feet. An avid boater, he loved to read and was a member of the Royal Oaks Golf and Country Club. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 44 years and 11 months, Ella (Bourque) Léger; three sons, Mark and Tom of Waltham, Mass., Charles of Somerville, Mass.; one sister, Aline Arsenault of Saint-Antoine; two brothers, Bert Léger (Bernadette) of Cape Cod, Joe Léger (Annette) of Moncton; two grandchildren, Madeline and Nathalie. Visitation at Frenette Funeral Home de Kent, 4572, Main St., Saint-Antoine (525-2588) on Monday, June 18th, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral mass at 11 a.m on Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at St. Antoine de l'Ermite Roman Catholic Church, Saint-Antoine.     À l'Hôpital régional Dr-Georges-L.-Dumont, le vendredi 15 juin 2007, à l'âge de 72 ans, est décédé Léo Paul Léger, domicilié à Moncton, Oakcroft Crescent.     Highly Esteemed Resident St. Anselme Passed Away After Serious Illness.
    Following an illness of three weeks duration J. Edgar Bourgeois, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ferdinand Bourgeois, St. Anselme, passed away in the Hotel Dieu yesterday morning. Although his condition had been considered serious from the beginning, it was not until a few days ago that it because alarming and death came as a great shock to his immediate family and friends. He was well known throughout the district, where his passing will be deeply mourned by a host of friends. The deceased lived the greater part of his life in St. Anselme, and for the past several years had been engaged in the milk business. He took an active interest in the affairs of the community in which he lived and was highly respected by everyone. A man of fine character, Mr. Bourgeois contributed much to the progress of the district and in his passing the community sustains a severe loss. Mr. Bourgeois is survived by his widow and two children, Jeannette and John Charles. He also leaves his parents, six sisters and five brothers. The sisters are, Mrs. George T. leBlanc, of St. Anselme; Mrs. Osias Richard, of Moncton, and the Misses Estelle, Germaine, Eva and Marguerite, all at home. The brothers are Alban, engineer and the steamship Cavalier; Alfred, of Moncton; Philas, Quincy, Mass.; Camille, at home, and Rene, student at Bathurst College. The funeral will take place Sunday afternoon from the Roman Catholic Church, St. Anselme.
