    In his 57th year, on February 10, 1989, at the Sackville Memorial Hospital, Sackville, N.B. , of cancer. Resident of Sackville, N.B. and formerly of 813 Maplewood Avenue, Ottawa, Ontario. Born in Sackville, a son of the late Levi and Helena (Bourque) Legere. Beloved husband of Estelle (Pigeon). Devoted father to Scott, Sackville, N.B., and Lisa Ann from Ottawa. Dear brother to Rita (wife of Bill Milner), Sackville, N.B., Margaret O'Connor of Dieppe, N.B., Valerie, (husband of Aline), Sardus, B.C., Levi Jr. (husband of Leih(, Sardus B.C., George (husband of Ella), Port Perry, Ontario, Robert (husband of Marjorie), Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia, Marc (husband of Donna), Maple, Ontario. Sisters and brothers-in-law Grace and Darryl Cheesman, Cornwall, Ontario, Fran and Drummond Moon of Burlington; Oscar and Ann Pigeon of Kanata; Rolland Pigeon, Hamilton, Ontario, Bert and Mary Pigeon, Ottawa, Grace and Stella Keluke of Renfrew and numerous other aunts, nieces and nephews. Former member of the Armed Forces and retired employee of Environment Canada. He will be sadly missed by his fishing buddy and dear friend Randy Ross of Ottawa and his many friends at Environment Canada. Remains resting at Jones Funeral Home, Sackville, N.B. Funeral Mass to be held Monday the 13th, 1989, [sic] at St. Vincent Roman Catholic Church, Sackville, N.B. Burial in the Sackville Cemetery later in the spring.

    Survived by her daughter Joanne (Legere) Pond; son Paul Legere; two sisters Viola (Roland) Deslauriers, Geraldine Hector; one brother Leo (Treva) Robichaud; 3 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents William and Mary (Britton) Robichaud; husband Frank Legere; two brothers Fulton and Eddie; 4 sisters Katheline Robichaud, Frances Hersey, Mary Gallant, and Edna Foster. A memorial service will be held at St. Dunstan's Catholic Church on Monday June 4, 2007 at 12:00 noon with Father Gerry White officiating. A reception will follow. Interment will be in the Hermitage Cemetery www.bishopsfuneralhome.com.

    Moncton Man's Brother Dead at Amherst, N.S. (Special to The Times) Amherst, N.S. Feb. 18-
    The death of Mr. Dominique Thibedeau occurred at his home, James street, on Wednesday at the age of 68 years. Mr. Thibedeau had not been in good health lately but his death came as a great shock to his family as it was unexpected. The news will be heard with great regret by the many friends of the family. He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Robert Simpson, one son, Fred Thibedeau, of Amherst, also three sisters, Mrs. John Pellerin, Amherst; Mrs. Paul Leger, of Sackville, and Mrs. Isidore Deroach, of Campbellton, and three brothers, Ned, of Amherst, Ross, of Moncton, and Phillip of Fitchburg, Mass. Funeral will take place Friday morning at 8 o'clock with High Mass at St. Charles R. C.

    R. Leger -
    Romeo Leger of 49 Mansfield Street, Moncton, was dead on arrival at Moncton Hospital Saturday. He was 71. Born in Cap Pele, he was a son of the late Hypolite and Rosalie (Richard) Leger. He retired from Humphrey Wollen Mills in 1970 after 40 years. He Attended St. Louis de France Roman Catholic Church in Lewisville. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Leonard J. Arsenault (Viola) amd Mrs. Roland Leger (Alice), both of Lewisville; three sisters, Mrs. Johnny Belliveau (Rita) of St. Paul, Juliette and Lorette Leger, both of Amherst, N.S.; four brothers, Rev. Gregoire Leger, Maliseet, Alban of Burlington, Ont., Lionel and Antoine, both of Amherst; three grandchildren. His wife, the former Mayme LeBlanc, died in 1970. The body is resting at Frenette's funeral home, 88 Church Street, Moncton. The funeral will be Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Louis de France Roman Catholic Church, Lewisville. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery.
