    Raymond Leger
    Raymond Leger, 94, of Whelton Dr., Bathurst, died April 3,2001 at the Regional
    Hospital Center, Bathurst.
    Born in Caraquet, he was the son of the late Louis and Suzanne (Cormier) Leger. He worked for the former Bay Chaleur Motors and later for the former Consolidated Bathurst Paper Mill. He was very active in his senior years, as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.
    He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Evelyn Hodgins He is survived by: 2 Sons: Joseph Leger (Evangeline) of Bathurst and Ken “Butch” Leger (Irene) of Nackawic, NB. 2 daughters: Joyce Thibodeau (Gerard) of Bathurst and Jean Dobson (Ernest ) of Sydncy, NS. 11 grandchiidren, 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great-greatgranchild Several nieces and nephews.
    There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.
    A memorial Mass will be celehrated at 2 pm. on Friday afternoon, April 6, 2001 from Holy Family Church, St.Peter Avenue, Burial will be in the parish cemetery, later in the spring. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton’s Funeral Home, Bathurst.

    Suzanne Léger
    À l’Hôpital L’Enfant Jésus de Caraquet, le dimanche 11 septembre 1988, à l’âge de 83 ans et 7 mois, est décédée Suzanne Léger, domiciliée à la Villa Beauséjour de Caraquet, mais autrefois de Bertrand. Elle était fille de feu Louis Léger et de feue Suzanne Cormier.
    Elle laisse dans le deuil quatre frères: Elie, de Halifax, N.-E., Raymond, de Bathurst, Célestin, de Montréal, et Charles-Edouard, de Bertrand, ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nèces.
    Mad. Léger a été institutrice durant 35 ans et secrétaire au Collège de Bathurst pendant plusieurs années.
    La dépouille mortelle est présentement exposée au Salon funéraire de Bertrand, d’où le convoi funèbre partira le mardi 13 septembre à 15h55 pour se rendre en l’église Saint-Joachim d Bertrand, où le servi sera chanté à 16h et de là au cimetière de l’endroit.
    A la demande la famille, un don à la Société canadienne du cancer serait bien apprécié.
    La direction des funérailles a été confiée à la Maison funéraire Racicot de Caraquet.
